    Why Even Pray

If God knows the future, and its fixed, whats the difference? Why is me even talking to God important? What if prayer is more about letting God know where we are at, and maybe... just maybe, He meets us in these places. Perhaps our prayers change more than we think.

    Intimacy

Sometimes we treat God like a cosmic vending machine: insert a prayer, expect a product. But what if we’re missing the deeper invitation? Like a good parent, God doesn’t just want to be useful — He wants to be wanted. Desired. Known. When we stop treating God like a tool and start relating to Him like a Father, something beautiful happens: the connection itself begins to heal us. It fills a longing we didn’t even know we had.

    How to Start Enjoying Prayer

Many of us wrestle with prayer. We reduce it to asking God for things—or worse, we wonder if it even matters. In the rush of daily life, we struggle to find the time or the energy, and when we don’t, guilt creeps in. Prayer starts to feel like a chore, something we should do rather than something we want to do. It slips from being a sacred connection to a burdensome obligation. And in a culture addicted to constant stimulation and instant gratification, the quiet, slow work of prayer can feel foreign—almost boring. No wonder we avoid it. But maybe the problem isn’t prayer itself. Maybe it’s the story we’ve been telling ourselves about what prayer is supposed to be.

    When it Works… Finally

We don’t always know when our prayers will pay off. Sometimes it feels like silence, sometimes like waiting forever. But then—there are moments when those prayers break through, and lives are changed. I couldn’t be more thankful for people who never quit praying for me even when things looked completely hopeless.

    “Hold On!”, Wrestlers of God

This week, we invite you to join us for a message that explores what we do when our most heartfelt prayers seem to meet only silence. Through the story of Jacob and a personal testimony, we’ll look at how God often works in ways we only recognize in hindsight—and how that can reshape our understanding of prayer. You’ll be encouraged to let go of trying to engineer outcomes and instead notice the quiet, faithful ways God is already supporting you. Come and be reminded of the simple, sacred invitation at the heart of it all: to hold on.

THE BEGINNING: Night of Prayer and Worship

Starting December 5, we’re launching The Beginning, a monthly first-Friday gathering focused on prayer, worship, and seeking Jesus together. Come linger in His presence and pray intentionally as a community. We believe this is a season to intentionally seek the face of Jesus, as we discern His will for our church family and in our personal walk with Him.

My Achan Heart: The Achan Imagination

It began not with his hands, but with his imagination. He saw something beautiful, and it captured him. His imagination was possessed—and it led him to destruction. That’s the power of imagination. What captures your imagination will eventually command your actions. And what commands your actions will shape your destiny.
