  • Starting with where we are

What is the future telling us now?

What is the future telling us now? It is often said that the youth are the future of the church. I think they are the future, but they should also be the present of the church. While they are no longer youth I've asked a panel of young adults, college age to 20-something to join me for a Q&A. Find out what they have to say about where they see the church now and where they think it is headed. This one could get kind of lively.

  • Where are we as a church?

A few months ago we asked about 30 members of our congregation to fill out a survey regarding how they view our church. We picked these people from all of our small group classes, so no major group was left out. They were also picked because they had been with our church for some time and knew at least a bit about what was happening at church. In other words, we didn't survey visitors. That is another survey for another time ... and we'll do that. What we wanted to find out with this survey was, how are we doing as a church? Are we healthy? Where are we? Are we doing what we claim to be doing and should be doing? Or are we missing the mark. Join us as we look at the results of the survey and see what it says to us about ... us ... as a church.

  • What are we missing?

NOTE: At this point we are planning on having church at Summit this weekend, January 27. Check-in with our Facebook page for last minute updates on any late-breaking changes. https://www.facebook.com/summitnorthwest/ We are working on getting things back to normal after the sprinkler break that has caused water damage to our Foyer and adjacent areas. Sermon info: What are we missing? Life goes on and on ... days flow into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. Is that all there is? Isn't there supposed to be more to life than just grinding it out one day at a time? If you're like many of us, you might feel like you're missing out on something, like maybe your connection with God isn't as strong as it could be, or your zest for life is less than zestful. The question is how do we become more passionate about our spiritual lives without getting weird about it. What does a passionate spiritual life look like: Join us as we explore this important topic.  What are we missing? Speaker: Ron Hessel Worship Leaders: Greg Birchell & Bruce Christensen
