Pastor
Jake Wilkinson
Pastor Jake Wilkinsons grew up in Soldotna, Alaska—affectionately nicknamed “Slowdotna” for its quiet pace. After moving to Walla Walla, Washington, Jake experienced a dramatic life change when he prayed for a new start and found God answering that prayer. He earned his undergraduate degree in Theology from Walla Walla University and later completed his Master of Divinity at Andrews University. Jake has served as both a youth pastor and an associate pastor in a medium-sized Washington church. He and his wife, Crystal, have been happily married for 13 years and share a love for hospitality—especially lingering conversations over a cup of tea. Their home is also happily shared with two beloved dogs, Luck and Pippin, who add plenty of joy (and adventure) to family life.
Jake’s ministry is marked by warmth, authenticity, and a collaborative spirit. He thrives on shared experiences—whether hiking, engaging in outdoor activities, or simply moving and creating with others. His heart for community runs deep: he believes in partnering with the local community rather than merely serving it, fostering relationships built on mutual respect. Known for his openness, Jake encourages people to bring their true selves to church and to experience God’s presence in everyday life.
At Summit Northwest Ministries, Jake is most excited about the congregation’s vibrant, multigenerational dynamic—something he finds rare and inspiring within the Adventist context. He’s eager to join a team of leaders who share a unified vision, creating a space where authenticity is celebrated and where everyone can grow together in faith. Jake looks forward to building deeper connections, empowering members to live out their calling, and exploring fresh ways to embody Christ’s love in the wider community.
