Dead people go to a better place. We hear it said all the time … especially at funerals. It’s supposed to be comforting … but is it true? Dead People go to a Better Place? Are we sure on that? What about the message that God needed another angel, so He took your loved one to Heaven to fill the needed angel spot? Comforting those who have lost a loved one is a delicate matter. It’s an important matter. But how can we do this without making God look bad in the process, without turning people against God and without raising false expectations?
